Hi, I’m Becky Kukowski!
I am a physiotherapist here at Summit Physiotherapy. I graduated with a Masters in Physical Therapy from the University of Alberta in 2015 after earning my Bachelor of Kinesiology at the University of Calgary. I have attained a post-graduate Certification in Manipulative Therapy and training in Orthopedic Manual Therapy, Dry Needling, Integrated Systems Model, and K-Taping. I also have training in Acute Concussion, Post Concussion Syndrome, chronic pain and TMJ/jaw dysfunction.
I enjoy helping people get to the cause of their injuries by using a biopsychosocial approach and assessing the movement and function of the whole body. I believe it is important to educate and empower people to take an active role in their recovery. Together, we will develop a rehabilitation plan to allow your body to move more efficiently and optimally, whether for sport or day-to-day activities.
Since I was born and raised on a farm near Rimbey, Alberta, I have always loved the rural lifestyle and now live near Leslieville with my husband and two cats. I enjoy staying active, working out, spending time with family and friends. I grew up playing basketball and discovered dirt biking later in life. Having a physiotherapy background in the dirt biking community has definitely been useful - not only for my own injuries but for others as well! You can find me on my bike all year long!
