Hi, I am Tyana,
I am a Kinesiologist at Summit Physio & Wellness. I was born and raised in Olds, Alberta. I graduated from the University of Alberta with my Bachelors of Kinesiology. I grew up playing in competitive sports - hockey and lacrosse - and now maintain an active lifestyle through the gym, walking, and playing slo-pitch.
Throughout my education, I have worked with six youth female hockey and two college-level baseball teams as an athletic trainer as well as worked in various multi-disciplinary clinics in Edmonton. I still currently work with a U18AAA female hockey team in Red Deer who won the national championship (Esso Cup) in 2026.
I have a passion for movement and health. I practice a patient-center and movement-based approach that encourages individuals to listen to their body and that any movement is beneficial. I believe there is never one correct answer and to explore multiple different routes in tailoring rehab for my patients. I enjoy building a connection with all of my patients.
If I’m not in the office, you can find me outside at the lake, working out, camping, watching sports, or reading a good novel.
